Lynda plays Carole Stanwyck, a chic photographer from New York, transplanted in San Francisco. Loni is Sydney Kovak, who grew up in the streets of San Francisco and yearns to be a concert musician. She also happens to be a pretty good pickpocket. The two are as different as Nob Hill and Fisherman's Wharf. In fact, the only thing they have in common is they're both ex-wives of an ex-detective- mysteriously murdered in his office. Following a television movie of the same name, James at 15 was a short-lived NBC drama that explored a teenage boy's coming of age. The series begins in Boston, where James (Lance Kerwin) and his family have moved from rural Oregon. James at 15 was distinctive at the time for its sequences showing James' daydreams, a subtle mixing of some comedy and drama, and because of its frank examination of serious teen issues, especially for the 1970s. Episodes explore such topics as cancer, sexually-transmitted disease, alcoholism, and most notably - James' loss of his virginity with a Swedish foreign exchange student. SANFORD 1980 SERIES $16.95 Sanford was the 1980 revival of the 1970s sitcom Sanford & Son. In 1977, after six seasons of Sanford & Son, Redd Foxx decided to leave the NBC show to star in a variety show for ABC. His new show, The Redd Foxx Comedy Hour, was cancelled after just four months. Perhaps regretting this decision, Foxx returned to NBC two years later in an effort to revive the character of Fred Sanford. NBC was also eager to revive its most successful show of the 1970s. Sanford premiered in March 1980 as a midseason replacement. Demond Wilson refused to reprise his role as Fred's son, Lamont. His absence was explained by having Lamont away working on the Alaskan Pipeline. Fred's new business partner in the junkyard was Cal, an obese White Southerner that worked with Lamont on the pipeline and Lamont sent him to help his father. Cal moves into Lamont's old room.
